The Breath of Words

One-woman show

by Peggy Pexy Green

An intimate solo performance where the words of Belgian authors come alive, escape, and engage in dialogue with the audience, blending humor, readings, poetic moments, and interactive improvisation.

-> In this solo performance, texts by Belgian women authors from the literary heritage come to life through the voice of Peggy Pexy Green. Each excerpt is read, reread, and sometimes extended through improvisation, according to intentions, addresses, or constraints chosen by the audience, who sometimes even
gives direct dialogue to the actress. Some texts are embodied in characters of varying ages, characteristics, and emotions. The audience is invited to choose, suggest, and react: the experience then becomes a lively and poetic game.

Each reading reveals the musicality and resonance of the words, transforming the text and the space, like a bold reinterpretation of the reading circle.

The form is light, created for intimate spaces such as libraries or the foyers of cultural centers.
